This section provides access to up-to-date official data on the gender pay gap in the Republic of Moldova, collected from national statistical sources.
The data can be used to assess the overall labor market context, as well as for research, public policy, advocacy, and institutional reporting.

The interactive infographic below illustrates the evolution of the pay gap between women and men in the Republic of Moldova, expressed as a percentage, for the selected economic sectors, in the period 2013–2024. The graphic representation allows tracking of annual dynamics of pay disparities and highlights long-term trends, both at the general level and within each area of activity.

Values above the zero axis indicate situations where men’s average salaries were higher than those of women, while values below the zero axis reflect cases in which women, on average, recorded higher salary income.

Pay gap table
The table below shows the pay gap between women and men in the Republic of Moldova, expressed as a percentage, for each economic sector, during the period 2013–2024. The data is displayed annually and allows observation of pay differences both at the general level and within each area of activity.
Positive values indicate situations where men’s average salaries are higher than those of women, while negative values show cases in which women, on average, had higher salary income. The table provides a useful basis for comparing sectors with each other, identifying long-term trends and understanding how the gender pay disparity differs from one economic area to another.
