1. Introduction and Acceptance of the Terms

Welcome to the „Plata Egală” (Equal Pay) platform (https://plataegala.md). By accessing and using this website, you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the platform.

These terms apply together with the Privacy Policy.

2. About the Platform

„Plata Egală” is an informational and interactive web platform dedicated to promoting equal pay in the Republic of Moldova. The platform is made available by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection (MLSP), developed by „RT Design Studio” S.R.L., and created with the support of UN Women Moldova. Access and use are free of charge and do not require creating an account.

3. Acceptable Use

You undertake to use the platform in good faith and in accordance with the law. In particular, you must NOT:

  • disrupt, overload, or attempt to compromise the operation or security of the platform;
  • access unauthorised areas or attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, servers, or data;
  • automatically extract content (scraping) in a way that affects the operation or the rights of others;
  • use the platform for illegal or fraudulent activities or activities that infringe the rights of third parties.

4. The Salary Calculator

The pay-gap calculator is strictly informational and indicative. It runs entirely in your browser, based on the values you enter and a general methodology. The results:

  • do not constitute legal, financial, tax, or other advice;
  • are not binding and do not create rights or obligations;
  • may differ from your specific situation.

For decisions with legal or financial effects, consult a specialist and the official sources.

5. Informational Nature of the Content

The information on the platform is of a general and educational nature and does not replace professional advice. Although we make reasonable efforts to keep the information accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that it is complete, accurate, or applicable to every situation. Statistical data come from the official sources indicated and may be updated periodically.

6. Copyright and Licence

Except for the items listed below, the textual and informational content of the platform is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. You may copy, distribute, adapt and use this content, including for commercial purposes, provided that you credit the source (the „Plata Egală” platform, the MLSP, and UN Women Moldova) and indicate any changes made.

The following are excluded from this licence and remain separately protected:

  • logos, names and trademarks (UN Women, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, other partners);
  • photographs, illustrations and materials provided by third parties, which may have their own licences;
  • the platform’s source code, subject to its own licensing terms.

To use the excluded items, please obtain the consent of the rights holders.

7. User-Submitted Content

When you submit a question through the platform’s form, you undertake not to include illegal, offensive, defamatory content or content that infringes the rights of third parties, and not to include sensitive personal data that is not necessary. By submitting, you grant us the right to process the message in order to reply to you and to improve the platform. Data processing is carried out in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

8. Links to Third-Party Sites

The platform may contain links to third-party sites and resources. These are provided for convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those sites. You access them at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

The platform and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the operator and partners are not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the platform, from decisions made on the basis of the information or the calculator, or from technical interruptions.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep the platform available and functional, but we may modify, suspend, or discontinue, in whole or in part, any of its features, including for maintenance, without prior notice.

11. Protection of Personal Data

The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, available at https://plataegala.md/en/privacy-policy/. We recommend that you read it.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova. Any disputes shall be resolved amicably and, failing that, by the competent courts of the Republic of Moldova.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes to the platform or to legislation. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the last-updated date shown at the top. Continued use of the platform after the changes are published constitutes acceptance of them.
